IIT JAM Eligibility

Indian candidates , as well as foreign nationality, both can apply.
Require Bachelor degree in any discipline with At least 55% aggregate marks for General/ OBC-NCL candidates and at least 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.
Final exam appearing candidates are also eligible.
No age bar to apply for this exam.

IIT JAM EXAM – QUESTION PAPER PATTERN & DURATION

All seven test papers will be of fully objective type, with three different patterns of questions as follows:

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

Section–A contains a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) involving 10
questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ type
question has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer.
Candidates can mark the answer by clicking the choice.

Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)

Section–B contains a total of 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) carrying two marks each. Each MSQ type question is similar to MCQ but with a difference that there may be one or more than one choice(s) that are correct out of the four given choices. The candidate gets full credit only if he/she selects all the correct answers only and no wrong answers. Candidates can mark the answer(s) by clicking the choice(s).

Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions

Section–C contains a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions involving
10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each. For these NAT
type questions, the answer is a signed real number, which needs to be entered using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor. No choices will be shown for these types of questions.

IIT JAM APPLICATION FORM & ADMIT CARD

Admit card will be accessible through online mode only.
Aspirants must keep 1 copy of their admit card with them.
Download IIT JAM 2020 admit card from the JOAPS portal, as given on the official website.
Download the JAM admit card via login through Enrollment ID/Email ID and password.
Verify the details written on the admit card.
Candidates must inform the officials immediately in case of any difference in IIT JAM admit card.
This is necessary to enter the examination hall with 1 print out of JAM admit card along with the original ID proof on the IIT JAM exam date.

Step 3: Enter registered email ID / enrollment and JOAPS password.

Step 4: Solve the Captcha puzzle.

Step 5: Click on the Submit button.

After cracking IIT JAM – what happens Next

If the candidates have qualifies the IIT JAM exam then he/she can apply for further procedure. Follow the IIT JAM exam Counselling procedure to get the admission in IITs and IISc:

Step 1 – Log in via enrollment ID and password at IIT JAM official website.

Step 2 – Enter the necessary details given in the form.

Step 3 – After that aspirants need to pay the IIT JAM admission fee which is Rs. 600 . It can be paid through online mode (such as credit/debit card or net banking)

Note:- IIT JAM Admission fees is non-refundable & it can also be paid through e-challan of state bank of India.

While filling the application form for IIT JAM admission, Candidates must have a pdf copy of all the required documents.

After that admission list will be made according to the JAM Score and total IIT JAM Seats. There will be 3 admission list always announced by IIT.
